The end of July, and suddenly it's
properly summery. But suddenly too, West
Yorkshire, where Snakeskin has its head
offices, is subjected to renewed lockdown
restrictions. Can poetry do anything to explain
this strange new world we live in, or anything
to alleviate its discontents and tediums? Well,
we try. We really do.
September is another all subjects, all styles
issue. Plans are in the pipeline, though, for
something special later in the year. Send your
poems to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Two blog posts may be of
interest to potential contributors to Snakeskin
The first, on "How
Snakeskin Works", explains the simple
procedure by which contributions are selected for
a month's issue.
The second, called "Don't"
offers some tips to novice poets, detailing a few
of the things that might make an editor take
against your work.
